a few thoughts

Does anyone outside of New York realize that there is a man running for mayor named Anthony Weiner. I know that if I lived in the city I'd be voting for him. Hey look its mayor Weiner!

Please go here and read these quotes and follow jason's links to the original articles. There needs to be more awareness of this problem in this country. I know that we now have other things going on in the gulf but don't kid yourself into thinking that the two aren't related. The stagnant water covering the city is breeding more and more bacteria and the aftermath will include widespread disease. I don't think it will be Trent Lott checking into the hospital with e coli.

No administration could credibly investigate such an immense failure on its own watch. And we have learned through bitter experience - the Abu Ghraib nightmare is just one example - that when this administration begins an internal investigation, it means a whitewash in which no one important is held accountable and no real change occurs.
From today's editorial It's Not a 'Blame Game' in the New York Times.

if it is the magnanimous gift or roach crap to the testes pool of breeders at abu gharib, then the media would cover it and make of it a gigantic military mistake of monumental proportions in a effort to grab the presidential election or the speaker of the house or senate majority leader for domination of some of nations pork barrel projects to shift economy, tax dollars to north east, i say that is the sole purpose ofr media critism of bush and governor blandco amen,
